BEN KEATING IS SET TO MISS THE FIRST ROUNDS OF THE 2026 FIA WORLD ENDURANCE CHAMPIONSHIP, WITH BLAKE MCDONALD TAKING HIS PLACE

With the start of the season quickly approaching, TF Sport announces a temporary change to the lineup for its #33 Corvette Z06 GT3.R ahead of the upcoming FIA World Endurance Championship.

Due to an unfortunate accident during a training session, Ben Keating has suffered a broken elbow. Unfortunately, this injury will prevent the American driver from taking part in the official Prologue, the 6 Hours of Imola and the 6 Hours of Spa.

Keating’s absence means a new lineup for the #33 Vette. His duties will be taken over by Blake McDonald, a driver whom TF Sport’s fans have recently gotten to know. The 35-year-old American, after finishing second in the Pro-Am class of the 2025 GT World Challenge America Powered by AWS, joined the team during the 2025/2026 Asian Le Mans Series, immediately demonstrating his speed and racecraft. In 2026, he will also be at the wheel of the #33 Corvette Z06 GT3.R for TF Sport in the European Le Mans Series, which starts next week in Barcelona.

McDonald will therefore join Jonny Edgar and Nicky Catsburg for the opening rounds of the 2026 FIA World Endurance Championship, whilst Keating will follow a recovery programme with the aim of being on the starting grid for the 2026 24 Hours of Le Mans. As TF Sport prepares to kick off the 2026 FIA WEC season with the official Prologue – scheduled to take place at the Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari in Imola on 14 April – the whole team wishes Ben a speedy and full recovery and looks forward to seeing him back on track.
