Rui Andrade is a young Angolan driver who started his journey in 2018 with the F4 Spanish Championship, where he gained valuable experience with Drivex School. In 2019, Andrade showcased his skills in Formula Ford Portugal and Formula Renault Eurocup, followed by a commendable stint in the Euroformula Open with Drivex. The year 2019 marked his participation in the F4 United Arab Emirates Championship Certified by FIA with Dragon Racing, securing numerous podiums and finishing fifth in the championship. In 2021, Andrade made notable appearances in the FIA Endurance Trophy for LMP2 Pro/Am Drivers and the European Le Mans Series LMP2 class with G-Drive Racing, including a podium finish at the Red Bull Ring and a third-place finish in the Asian Le Mans Series. The year 2022 saw Andrade's continued success, with podium finishes in the European Le Mans Series LMP2 Drivers Trophy and the FIA Endurance Trophy for LMP2 Drivers with RealTeam by WRT. He also impressed in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship LMP2 class with Tower Motorsport, securing podiums at Daytona and Watkins Glen and clinching victory at Road Atlanta. In 2023, Andrade continued to shine in the European Le Mans Series - LMP2 Pro, securing a podium at Paul Ricard, and claimed the top spot in the FIA Endurance Trophy for LMP2 Drivers with Team WRT. Now, as he takes the wheel of the #81 Corvette Z06 GT3.R LMGT3 for TF Sport in the 2024 FIA World Endurance Championship, Andrade is poised for a new chapter in his racing career.
