Driver of the #81 Corvette Z06 GT3.R LMGT3, Van Rompuy brings with him a wealth of experience in endurance racing, matured over a journey of more than a decade. He took part In the 24H of Zolder with First Motorsport in 2008 and 2009. Subsequent years saw him consistently participating in endurance events, including the Belgian Touring Car Series, Belcar Endurance Championship, and Bridgestone Special Open Trophy. In 2011, he achieved considerable success in the Belgian Touring Car Series - T4, clinching multiple podium finishes and ending the championship in second place. The diverse racing landscape continued with appearances in the Supercar Challenge and 24H Series, where he secured a podium at Circuit of the Americas in 2017. Notably, Van Rompuy claimed victory in the 24H GT Series - European Championship - SPX at Spa-Francorchamps in 2019 with VR Racing by Qvick Motors. In 2021, he secured a podium finish at Zolder in the Belcar Endurance Championship - GT. The year 2022 saw him participating in the Ligier European Series - JS P4 with DKR Engineering by HRC and achieving success in the European Le Mans Series LMP3 Drivers Trophy with podium finishes in Catalunya and at Spa-Francorchamps. In 2023, Van Rompuy expanded his horizons, participating in the European Le Mans Series - LMP2 Pro/Am again with DKR Engineering by HRC. His international presence continued with a third-place finish in the Asian Le Mans Series LMP3 Drivers Trophy, including a victory in Dubai. Now, as he joins TF Sport in the #81 Corvette Z06 GT3.R LMGT3 for the 2024 FIA World Endurance Championship, Van Rompuy is set to face new challenges and contribute to the team's endeavors.
